Mohsen W. Matter is an acclaimed Egyptian-American award winning domestic and international Fine Artist. Perhaps he is best known for his unique impressionist style that reflects the traditional Egyptian image and personality of people and places. His paintings also depict ordinary people engaged in contemplative thought and common activities. Mohsen’s love for his country and all people can be deeply felt in every brushstroke and in his unique mixing of colors. In recent years, his work extended to include a wider array of cultural and social settings while still making people the focal point. Many of his paintings were exhibited in USA, Europe and the Middle East, as well as decorating the rooms and houses of friends and devout admirers. In addition, his murals have been the aesthetic theme of a number of restaurants in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
